LinenLinen is a natural fibre, stemming from the flax plant. Linen is the one of the most ecologically sound fibres and the strongest of the natural fibres. The best quality flax is grown in cool, damp climates such as Northern Europe and Russia and these parts of the world also have a long tradition of weaving linen.
Linen is a great choice when you want something neutral but interesting, as the variation in the weave give the fabric some texture and interest. Our European linens have all been washed and preshrunk at the mill so they are easy to look after. While linen washes well, we recommend dry cleaning for finished curtains. |
