Tivaevae Collectables(Rarotonga)Tivaevae is a traditional pacific island technique similar to applique. It is rumoured to have begun when a woman admired the shadow of a plam tree on the sand and went home and recreated it in fabric.Based in Rarotonga, Tivaevae Collectables are bringing Tivaevae to the rest of the world. WIth an incredible amount of effort and sewing hours, they have created these lengths of Tivaevae specially for us. The design runs for 147cm and can be bought in these increments. This fabric would make stunning beach or bach curtains, bedroom curtains anywhere, look stunning on a table or make a great duvet cover.
