Australian designer Florence Broadhurst was born in rural Queensland in 1899, and was producing great work right up to her death in 1977. An extraordinarily talented (and just a tad eccentric) individual, she has definitely inspired future generations. Ahead of her time, she lived and worked in Shanghai in the twenties and London in the thirties and the influence of these experiences is apparent in her work. She is known for her flamboyant use of colour, combining fuscia pink, lime greens, vivid orange, turquoise, black....like no one before her.
Her work is timelessly stunning and able to fit into many environments. These designs have all been printed on very high quality base cloths, and (except for the silks) are suitable for upholstery as well as curtains, blinds and cushions.
All other colourways and designs are available on request.
