Our new Bolt of Cloth store is open.......

There were some challenges in fitting Bolt of Cloth into a space one fifth the size of our pre-earthquake store. We have had to be very inventive about displaying our fabrics when we no longer have room for all those bolts. We have created special panels that slide back behind the wall - there are 6 large panels with drops of fabric from designers like Marimekko, Ingrid Anderson and Ink & Spindle, and 5 panels holding over 600 fat quarters. The goal is that you will be able to see and touch everything available online in the store, and if you need a larger cut than we have in store we will simply pop it on a courier for you the next day. And while we still make lightshades, cushions, squabs, curtains and blinds etc to our usual high standards, you can no longer watch us doing it - our workroom and warehouse will remain at a second Christchurch location.

We are opposite Spotlight in the newly renamed and remodelled The Colombo, at 363 Colombo Street, Sydenham. There has been quite a transformation in Sydenham in recent months, so if you haven't been in recently it is definitely worth coming by to check it out and see how Christchurch is bouncing back.
